It's Whats for Breakfast

Hannah fixed me breakfast this morning. When I came downstairs this is what I found...
Although I totally love all the above items and she obviously knows me very well - I was able to talk her into a bowl of cereal.

If anyone is still out there...

I am actually posting something and if no one is still out there - I completely understand. I would have given up on myself too.

I don't even know the last time I posted - I think it was in March and a lot has happened since March. Hannah finished Kindergarten and has been spending the summer at Y camp with David. She has had a very busy summer and is loving every minute of it. I can't believe we only have a few short weeks until it is off to 1st grade. I really need time to slow down - OK? Thank you!!

We got a chance to head to the beach for about 10 days the beginning of this month and boy was it wonderful. My parents bought a house in Daytona last year and we couldn't wait to take Hannah to the beach. It was her first time and she loved it!! That is until she discovered the water slide at the pool and then we didn't spend much more time on the beach. I will say that going to the beach with a five year old is a lot different than going with my mom and taking a book and our drinks and spending all day reading and sleeping. Not as relaxing - for sure. But it sure was fun.

My parents were with us for the first few days and we had a ton of fun. Then, we stayed for the rest of the week and just basically did nothing. Yeah - it rocked my world. I have included some pictures below.
First time on the beach:Visiting the alligator farm in St. Augustine. This place was amazing. Hannah got up close and personal with a alligator and a snake.

Um, yeah. Hannah and I climbed this lighthouse. All 219 steps. My child was literally cheering me to the top. Holy Cow.
This was on the 4th of July. We took our chairs to beach and watched fireworks all around us. It was perfect.
Building sand castles.
There are a ton more pictures where these came from, but I am going to take it slow and easy. Here's to hoping I can post again before this time next year. For those who have read this, thanks for sticking with me.

Hannah studied about Noah's Ark in her class tonight at church and filled the ark with a lot of animal stickers. When we got home I found she had added a few more stickers to her Noah Ark picture. Who knew Hannah Montana joined Noah on the Ark? I bet she wasn't singing "Best of Both Worlds" bahaha :)

Update

This is about to be the update of all updates. I know it has been since Thanksgiving and there has been a lot of life lived in these past couple of months.

As always, the Christmas festivities started around the middle of December. Hannah had Christmas parties at school and then also got to participate in a Walk through the birth of Jesus at church. Our churches childrens program is out of this world and this was a really neat experience. The highlight was at the end when the kids gathered around the manger to see Baby Jesus. Precious.

For the second year in a row we went to ICE! with the Taylors. We had a blast and Hannah loved riding down the slide.

David's parents were able to come this year for Christmas and we had such a nice visit. We went to the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service sponsored by our churches new Spring Hill campus initative. It was really a sweet time. After the service, we did our 2nd annual Christmas Eve get-together with the Taylors. The girls always have such a good time together and they enjoyed exchanging gifts. They also made their reindeer food.

Christmas was so fun and Hannah had a blast. The only thing she really asked for was a princess charm bracelet. Thankfully Santa was able to find that at Claire's in the mall. She also got a barbie scooter and other odds and ins. She was one happy little girl. My parents came over and we had Christmas Brunch.

We got a new puppy that has been named Max. Hannah loves the puppy and carries him around all the time. Bless him. He has been a sweet addition to our house.

Another big deal in our house is Hannah has lost not only one but two teeth. This little girl was so stinkin excited. The first one was super loose and she let me pull me. She was so excited about the tooth fairy. The second one was lost while eating corn on the cob and was swallowed. Not too worry though. Hannah had me write the tooth fairy a note and she signed it explaining the situation. All was good.

OK seriously I think that is about it in a nutshell. For those still reading - bless you.

I am off next week to Florida with my mom and step-dad to help them paint their new beach house - Praise the Lord. My flip flops are waiting to be packed!!!

Thank you for sharing in our life. We are truly blessed because of you.

The Millsap's have had such a relaxing and wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. We celebrated on Thursday with my mom, stepdad, my aunt and uncle and some of my aunt's family. It was very low key and nice. We cheered on the Titans and ate a lot. My aunt and uncle from Lexington were not able to come because my aunt broke her wrist a few weeks ago and was unable to make the trip. They were greatly missed!!
I took on the task of painting Hannah's playroom. It is pretty much the only room in our house that was not painted and it has been on my to-do list for a while. We painted all the walls pink and then I did yellow squares on one wall. It turned out so good and Hannah loved it. David painted some frames for me and also a shelf that we had. I am so glad to be able to mark that off my list.
We took Hannah to see Bolt with the Taylors and both her and Jenna liked it a lot. It was the 3D version and very good.
We still have some Christmas decorations to put out (including the tree), but that may wait until next weekend. The outside is done so that is a start. I can't believe tomorrow is December 1st.

Thanksgiving always makes me realize how much we have been blessed. Far beyond what I deserve for sure.

Happy Birthday Mama!!

I am celebrating you today. You are the most fabulous woman I know. You have taught me how to give unselfishly and how to love with with absolute abandon. We have lived through things that no one else would ever believe, but it's not those time I remember. It's the laughs and the triumphs. It's surviving when all the odds were against us. That is what I remember and those are the seasons that have made us into who we are today. You bring so much joy to my life and it is you I want to call first when I am happy and you I want to call first when I am sad. You always know the right answer and you celebrate like only a mama can.

So, happy birthday to my mom and my friend. I love you madly!!!
